In response to these needs, we recommended the bronze stainless steel screen solution, which not only has the durability of stainless steel, but also can present a texture similar to antique bronze through special surface treatment, which perfectly fits the design theme of "blending ancient and modern" of the project.
Material selection and process technology
In this project, we chose 304 stainless steel as the base material and electroplated the surface with bronze, which ultimately resulted in a special screen product with both metallic texture and the visual effect of antique bronzeware17. This material selection was based on many considerations.
Material advantage analysis:
Durability: 304 stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and can resist corrosion from common cleaning agents in hotel environments, maintaining a beautiful surface for a long time.
Polishing performance: Good polishing performance ensures that the surface can achieve a mirror effect, providing a perfect base for subsequent bronze electroplating.
Moderate hardness: The hardness reaches HRB 85-90, which is easy to process and shape, and can ensure that the finished product is not easily deformed, suitable for large-area screen production.
Environmentally friendly and safe: It does not contain harmful substances such as lead and cadmium, and meets the environmental protection requirements of hotel space.
Core process technology:
Laser cutting: Use large laser cutting machines to process hollow patterns, with an accuracy of ±0.1mm, ensuring accurate restoration of complex patterns Compared with traditional wire cutting, laser cutting efficiency is increased by 3 times, providing guarantee for tight construction schedule. The cutting edge is smooth and burr-free, reducing the workload of subsequent polishing processes.
Seamless welding: Using argon arc full welding technology, the weld is completely free of marks after professional polishing, achieving a "seamless" visual effect6 Differentiated wel t there are no defects such as bubbles and cracks inside.
Surface treatment:
Multiple manual polishing processes, from rough grinding to fine polishing, a total of 7 steps, to ensure that the surface reaches the A-grade mirror effect.
Use vacuum ion plating technology for bronze electroplating, the coating thickness is 15-20μm, the color is uniform and lasting.
Finally, the aging treatment is carried out, and the oxidation effect is produced by special chemical agents to create a sense of precipitation over the years.
Structural reinforcement:
Invisible steel frame structure is installed inside to ensure the stability of large screens (up to 4.2 meters).
Modular design is adopted to facilitate transportation and on-site assembly, reducing installation time.
The entire processing process strictly follows the ISO9001 quality management system, and each link has a dedicated person responsible for quality control to ensure that the final product reaches the level of fineness of an artwork. In response to the construction period issue that customers are concerned about, we have compressed the conventional 35-day production cycle to 25 days by optimizing the process flow and increasing night shift production, leaving sufficient time for project installation.
Installation and spatial effects:
Screen installation is a key link in the implementation of the project. We have formed a professional installation team to conduct on-site surveys in advance to ensure that the design plan perfectly matches the actual situation of the building. The installation process is divided into three stages: Preliminary preparation stage: Use 3D laser scanning technology to obtain accurate on-site data and adjust the screen size to adapt to the building tolerance6 Pre-assemble 1:1 modules in the factory to verify the reliability of the connection structure7 Develop a detailed installation plan, including personnel division, equipment scheduling and time nodes.
On-site installation phase:
